Pregnancy and Post-Natal Pilates Classes

Pilates is an ideal exercise for pregnancy and the post-natal period, as it works on core stability and especially the pelvic floor. Pilates keeps you safely toned and stretched, easing muscular discomfort through your pregnancy; breathing practice aids relaxation and labour. Post-natally, Pilates is perfect for regaining abdominal and pelvic floor strength.

Bea runs ante and post natal classes for three women, providing individual attention and care. Pilates can be used right up to and in labour.

There's a article by Bea Alexander on Pregnancy and Post-Natal Pilates: The benefits of Pilates to the pregnant and post-pregnant body explained.

"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. In order to achieve happiness, it is imperative to gain mastery of your body. If at the age of 30 you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If at 60 you are supple and strong then you are young."
- Joseph Hubertus Pilates
